Welcome to our Computer Lab!

At Cedar Hill, computer skills are taught through content areas to enhance the curriculum, provide authentic educational experiences, and accommodate various learning styles. The program enhances the meaning of student's experiences by exploring the connection between their lives and the world around them, and equip students with the ability to seek and evaluate points of view, work independently, and express themselves intelligently. The integration of technology provides a unique experience for students to collect, evaluate, and interpret data.

The computer teacher works closely with classroom teachers to provide computer lab experiences that incorporate and extend regular classroom activities while building computer skills. Our students also explore online resources in a protected environment. They use problem solving and simulation software to enhance critical thinking.

Keyboarding Hall of Fame
Congratulations to those students that have made the Hall of Fame!  Students who make the Hall are able to type at least 20 words per minute with >85% accuracy!  Great work everyone!  Our next assessment will be during the first week of March.  I expect many more students to make the "Hall".  Remember, practice makes permanent!
